Event Description: Third Regiment will be hosting a garrison event at Point Lookout State park in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. We will be raising one company to garrison the recreated barracks, and the focus will be on drill and soldier life experiences. Camping will be in the historic structures on site. Come enjoy a high quality, authentic garrison experience on the Chesapeake Bay and experience life in 19th century military buildings.

Event Fee and Rations: $20 for Saturday Breakfast and Dinner.
Portrayal: 5th New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry. The 5th NH, having been decimated at Gettysburg, arrived at Point Lookout, Maryland, in November of 1863.

Impression Guidelines: All items are expected to be of quality construction:
Headgear: Quality federal forage caps are preferred. Kepis will be accepted by enlisted men in limited numbers.
Coats: Frocks are preferred- fatigue blouses are accepted
Trousers: Standard sky blue infantry trousers.
Shirts: Federal issue shirts of white or grey or civilian shirts are accepted.
Shoes: Federal issue brogans, or infantry boots.
Leathers: Standard federal issue leather gear.
Baggage: Knapsacks are encouraged
Tentage: NONE we will be occupying the barracks.
Weaponry: ALL WEAPONS MUST BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. 1861 Springfield’s, 1853 enfields, and 1842 springfields are accepted.
- No enlisted man shall have a pistol.
